Frenulum Breve

Tags:

A congenital condition of having a short frenulum, which, in severe cases, causes the glans to point downward when the foreskin is retracted with an erection.

Although commonly resolved with circumcision, the accepted and minimal surgical treatment is a frenectomy. Untreated, an intact penis with frenulum breve may cause tearing of the skin at either end of the frenulum during sex or vigorous masterbation.
